Bobcats Rookie Dominated October, Earns Award

Bismarck, ND – Bobcats goalie Andrew Miller has been named NAHL Goalie of the Month for October.

Miller won all three of his starts, allowing one goal and collecting two shutouts. He posted a .988 save percentage and a 0.33 goals against average, with both stats leading the league for the month.

“We have a great group of experienced and veteran players here in Bismarck. It gave me a lot of confidence from the start to really have everyone in our locker room supporting me,” Miller said. “My focus now is trying to help the team win a Robertson Cup and keep improving to the point where I am good enough to earn an NCAA Division 1 commitment.”

Miller leads the NAHL in several categories, including a .958 save percentage and 0.99 goals against average. His two shutouts are tied for second, and are the most among goalies with seven or fewer starts.

“Andrew has done a tremendous job for us this year,” said Bobcats head coach Layne Sedevie. “He is technically sound and square to pucks, his ability to track pucks and his eye hand are at the forefront of his game and that is going to make him a big time goaltender at the NCAA level.”

Miller and the Bobcats are back in action this weekend at the VFW Sports Center. Catch the action! Visit BismarckBobcats.com/Tickets for more information.
