Defenseman Boosts Bismarck’s Future
Bismarck, ND – The Bismarck Bobcats have tendered defenseman Will Magnuson, building their blue line of the future.
“I went to the main camp over the summer,” Magnuson said. “It just seems like a great place to play.”
Magnuson, 18, has spent the past few seasons playing for Chaska High School in Minnesota. The blue liner has 56 points in 75 games for the Hawks.
“The Bobcats are excited to add a 200 foot defenseman who can skate, create offense, and defend,” said Bobcats scout Wade Chiodo. “Will is a multiple dimensional defenseman that has the ability to make high level plays in all three zones.”
“I want to be a defenseman that chips in on the offense,” Magnuson said. “Not afraid to play the body, but offense too.”
Magnuson has family ties with the Bobcats. His cousin Danny plays for Bismarck this season.
“With Danny there, it’s just a great place,” Magnuson said.
