BISMARCK, N.D.–The Bismarck Bobcats have hired Greg Anderson to bolster their scouting staff.
Anderson, a native of St. Louis, has over a decade of coaching experience. He is entering his fourth season as head coach for the CarShield AAA Hockey Club. Greg previously coached with the NA3HL’s St. Louis Jr. Blues.
With the addition of Anderson, the Bobcats now have three full-time scouts in three hockey-rich areas of the country: Niko Kapetanovic in Minnesota, Sean Clark in Michigan, and Anderson in St. Louis.
“Greg is a fantastic addition to the Bobcat scouting staff,” said Kapetanovic, the Bobcats’ Assistant General Manager. “Along with Clark, I feel like we have the best staff in the league. St. Louis has always been an important area for us. Now, we have feet on the ground there with someone who is well-respected amongst the community.”
A total of eight Missouri natives have played for the Bobcats in their history. The two most recent–Patrick Johnson and Ryan Taylor, both forwards from the St. Louis area–have had tremendous impacts over multiple seasons with the team. Johnson has served as captain for the last two years. Taylor just finished a stellar freshman year at Clarkson University.
Anderson played junior hockey for the St. Louis Jr. Blues before continuing his playing career at Marian University and Robert Morris University.
