BISMARCK, ND – The Bismarck Bobcats have signed forward Ben Likness to a tender agreement for the 2024-25 season.
Likness, an ‘06 born player, has tallied 17 goals and 20 assists in 27 games with Sioux Falls Power 18U AAA this season. He’s averaging a strong 1.37 points per contest.
“Ben is a 200-foot forward who has a great knack for scoring,” Bismarck Assistant General Manager Niko Kapetanovic said. “The past few years he has led his respected teams in points and currently is doing the same now on the Sioux Falls Power 18U team.”
The Fargo, North Dakota, native totaled 54 points in 53 games last season with Northstar Christian Academy 16U AAA.
“We are excited to get a North Dakota native, Fargo-born player that packs the offensive punch Ben has,” Kapetanovic said. “One thing that will stand out to Bobcat fans is his shot.”
Tender agreements are contracts handing a North American Hockey League team rights to a player for the upcoming season. If Likness decides to play in the NAHL, he would join Bismarck.
“Over the last couple of years we have had a lot of success with players from the Sioux Falls Power program, current players like Trent Anfinson and Landon Fandel,” Kapetanovic said. “Ben will come to us with a great foundation and be ready to step right into our lineup after his year with the Sioux Falls Power.”
