BISMARCK, ND – The Bismarck Bobcats have tendered forward Alex DeGroat for the 2024-25 season.
DeGroat, an ‘07 born player, has produced 9 goals and 27 assists in 18 games with U16 Carshield AAA this season. The St. Louis, Missouri, native is averaging an impressive 2 points per game.
“For the past 4 years, Alex has been instrumental in the success of our 2007 CarShield team,” Bobcats scout Greg Anderson said. “This season has been no different as he currently leads our U16 CarShield team in all offensive categories. Bismarck is getting a highly gifted offensive player that possesses a high hockey IQ, deceptive speed, and an uncanny ability to see things on the ice that most players his age don’t see.”
DeGroat tallied 34 points in 16 games with Francis Howell High School in Missouri last season.
“We have been extremely happy with his development over the years and are excited to continue watching him grow as a person and as a player with the Bobcats,” Anderson said.
Tender agreements are contracts handing a North American Hockey League team rights to a player for the upcoming season. If DeGroat decides to play in the NAHL, he would join Bismarck.
