Return of the Mic

May 27, 2014

BISMARCK, ND – The Bismarck Bobcats announced Wednesday that Paul Teeple will be returning to Bismarck-Mandan to serve as Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the upcoming 2014-15 season.

Teeple, 32, served in the same capacity from 2009 through 2013.

“Coming back to North Dakota feels a lot like coming home,” confirmed Teeple, who has been calling games since 2002. “Being able to return to the organization that has been so good to me and my family is an incredible feeling.”

In four years with the Cats, the Cleveland, Ohio, native called over 300 games, four consecutive Central Division playoff championships, one NAHL Top Prospects Tournament and the Bobcats’ 2010 Robertson Cup championship win.

“Paul has told the story of some of the biggest moments in the history of Bobcat Hockey,” related Bobcats team owner and CEO Thom Brigl, “and we couldn’t be more excited that he and his family—and bow ties—are coming back home to Bismarck-Mandan.”

Teeple will helm all 60 regular season broadcasts—plus preseason and playoffs—as the Voice of the Bobcats on Super Talk 1270, the radio home of Bobcat Hockey, and FASTHockey.com.

In 12 years behind the mic, Teeple has called games at the midget major, high school, junior, collegiate and professional levels.

Next up on the Bobcats’ busy off-season schedule is the NAHL Entry Draft, which begins Tuesday at 1:00pm. Fans can get up-to-the-minute information on the Cats’ draft picks on the team’s Twitter and Facebook pages.

Bobcat Hockey would like to thank all of its fans, staff and sponsors for another great season of Championship Entertainment in 2013-14… you are a part of the team!
