Bismarck Scout Takes Over Bigger Role
Bismarck, ND – The Bismarck Bobcats are pleased to announce the promotion of Niko Kapetanovic to Director of Scouting.
“Being the Director of Scouting for Bismarck is something I will take a lot of pride in,” Kapetanovic said. “I am very honored and humbled to continue to work with Layne and with the team where my junior hockey career started.”
“Niko does a great job and his role will expand a bit here,” said Bobcats head coach Layne Sedevie. “He’s proven himself and to me, that’s the most important part from the chair that I sit in.”
Kapetanovic is in his third season working with the Bismarck Bobcats. Before working in scouting, his playing career started in the NAHL with Bismarck. Kapetanovic then played at UW-Eau Claire, where he was a member of the 2013 NCAA Division III National Championship team along with multiple other Bobcat alumni.
“The product that he’s delivered speaks for itself,” Sedevie said. “When you look at the big scheme of things as a head coach, it’s extremely important to have someone you can trust in that position.”
“The Bismarck Bobcats are a fantastic organization and have a fantastic history in the NAHL,” Kapetanovic said. “My goal is to help bring another Robertson Cup back to Bismarck for our players, fans, staff, and alumni.”
