Bismarck Begins Summer With Tender
Bismarck, ND – The Bismarck Bobcats have tendered defenseman Jon Bell.
“Bismarck had a lot to offer to me,” Bell said. “I just want to come in and work my hardest to play to my best abilities.”
Bell, 17, posted 14 points in 24 games last season with St. Cloud Cathedral in Minnesota. He had four points in 13 games with Team Great Plains in the Upper Midwest High School Elite Hockey League.
“Jon is a good skating defensemen with great IQ who gets back to pucks well with a very high compete level,” said Bobcats Director of Scouting Niko Kapetanovic. “He will be a big asset to Bismarck and is someone we are very excited to have on our back end.”
“I am a two way defender,” Bell said. “I have a hard nose, defensive game and also like to use my speed to get myself up in the rush to create opportunities.”
Bell collected 50 points in 66 career games with St. Cloud Cathedral. He is the first summer tender for the Bobcats, and the 11th to sign for the upcoming season.
“I want to thank everybody that has helped me along the way, including my parents,” Bell said. “I couldn’t be here without all of my coaches and my advisor, everyone on my side along the way through the ups and downs.”
