Minnesota Forward Joins Talented Future
Bismarck, ND – The Bismarck Bobcats have tendered forward Hunter Jones, adding another talented young player to their future.
“I believe Bismarck can help me develop as a player and get me to the next level,” Jones said. “I like the hockey culture and the town. I’m just excited to play.”
Jones, 17, spent the past season playing for Andover High School, putting up 21 points in 25 games played. He also spent time with the Blue Army U16 team, collecting 21 more points in 20 games with the midget team.
“Hunter is an extremely high-compete forward who creates a lot of problems for opposing teams,” said Bobcats scout Niko Kapetanovic. “His consistent compete, speed, and energy will wear out other teams and create grade A chances for himself and his teammates.”
“I like to be physical on the forecheck and make plays,” Jones said.
Jones has already put up 18 points in 19 games this season with Team Southeast of the UMHSEHL. He will report with the other tendered Bobcats to Bismarck’s main camp before the 2020-2021 season.
“I want to thank my parents and the coaches for always being there for me,” Jones said. “And also the scouts for helping me.”
