Coming off a big weekend on the ice, the good news keeps rolling in for Bismarck Bobcats forward Ryan Jacobson, who announced Tuesday that he has committed to play his collegiate hockey at the United States Air Force Academy.

Following a five-point weekend against the Alexandria Blizzard and North Iowa Outlaws, Bismarck Bobcats forward Ryan Jacobson was named the Sherwood NAHL Central Division Player of the Week Monday.

One night after recording their first overtime win of the 2009-10 season, the Bismarck Bobcats secured their first shootout win of the year Saturday, surviving a late rally to upend the North Iowa Outlaws 3-2 at the VFW Sports Center.

The Bismarck Bobcats came from behind to notch their first overtime win of the season, riding two straight goals from forward Dominic Panetta to topple the North Iowa Outlaws 4-3 Friday at the VFW Sports Center.

The Bismarck Bobcats closed out 2009 with their 19th victory of the season, holding off the red-hot Alexandria Blizzard for a 4-3 triumph in front of a sellout crowd at the VFW Sports Center on New Years Eve.

The Bismarck Bobcats return from the Christmas break just in time to ring in the New Year with a 7:15 PM Thursday contest against the surging Alexandria Blizzard, followed by a Friday-Saturday series against the North Iowa Outlaws at the VFW Sports Center.

When the 2010 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament rolls around on January 18th, the Bismarck Bobcats will be the most well-represented team in the Central Division thanks to a strong finish to the first half of the 2009-10 season.

First Bismarck Bobcats forward Dominic Panetta racked up five points while the Bobcats swept away the North Iowa Outlaws, then he picked up this week’s Sherwood NAHL Central Division Player of the Week award.
